Our 4 Days Kidepo wildlife safari tour package is ideal for those who want to visit somewhere different. Kidepo valley national park is found in the remote rugged and semi-arid parts of Karamoja. The park covers an area of about 1,440 km2 and has been described as one of the top three parks in Africa by CNN Travel.

This hidden gem is Uganda’s true answer to Kenya and Tanzania’s Serengeti.  While the park is not as well marketed or visited as other travel destinations in Uganda like Murchison Falls or Queen Elizabeth national parks, the terrain, unspoiled savannah grassland, mountains and wild animals remind you of how the African plains once used to be.

Day 1: Fly in to Kidepo and go for Afternoon game drive

A guide from Verdoro Safaris Uganda will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and take you to either Entebbe airport or Kajjansi airfield. Your two hour flight will give you an opportunity to see Uganda’s beautiful and changing landscape. You will land at Kidepo Valley airfield where you will be picked by our focal person at the park. You will then be transferred to your lodge were you will freshen up, have lunch, relax/swim and wait for your afternoon game drive. Kidepo is a beautiful park and you will be amazed by the landscape and unspoiled wilderness. Take enough photos before returning back to your lodge for lunch and a swim. In the afternoon, you will be taken to visit the Karamojong people. The Karamojong are nomadic pastoralists who live in unique houses called manyatas that are designed to be temporal.
