Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon your arrival at the airport, our guide will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your names. He will then drive you to your hotel, where you can rest and enjoy a meal or snack, depending on the time you arrive. The driver-guide will provide you with a briefing on the itinerary for the following day and will also let you know the pickup time.

Day 2Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Rhino Trekking

 Start with an early breakfast, then drive north on the Kampala-Gulu highway for about two and a half hours to reach the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola. Embark on a hike within the sanctuary to track the white rhinos. The sanctuary is also home to a variety of wildlife, including hippos, bushbucks, oribis, and numerous bird species.

After roughly two hours of trekking, return to the road and head to Masindi for lunch. Following that, continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation to unwind, dine, and rest for the evening.

Day 3Early Morning Game Drive

Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls   Begin your day with an early breakfast before embarking on the game drive. Anticipate encounters with lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, reedbucks, Uganda kobs, oribis, warthogs, numerous savanna birds, and breathtaking landscapes. After approximately four hours, head back to your lodging for breakfast and lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a launch cruise on the Nile to the foot of the Murchison Falls, where you’ll see a variety of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a plethora of waterfowl. At the falls’ base, you have the option to disembark and trek to the falls’ summit. Your driver will await you at the top to take you back to your lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4Transfer to Kibale National Park

Enjoy breakfast, check out from the lodge, and depart for Kibale National Park. The journey continues along the picturesque Albertine Rift Valley. A stop in Fort Portal town for lunch is planned before moving on to Kibale Forest National Park.

Upon arrival, check into your accommodation located just at the edge of the park. The rest of the day is yours to relax and take pleasure in the serene natural surroundings of the lodge.

Day 5Chimpanzee Tracking - Bigodi Nature Walk

After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale Forest to observe the primates. The activity starts at 8:00 am with a briefing on the chimpanzee trekking rules, followed by the commencement of the search in the forest.

This half-day exercise will also allow you to encounter other primates, including grey-cheeked mangabeys, phoestes, red colobus, and both blue-tailed and red-tailed monkeys amidst the dense foliage. Your guide will provide detailed explanations about the primates’ behaviors, the vegetation, and the various insects and butterflies, making the trek both enjoyable and educational. Afterwards, you will take a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp to spot more primates and birds.

Day 6Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

 Rise early for a cup of tea or coffee at 6:00 am and embark on a morning game drive. You can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas, kobs, and topis.

The landscape is breathtaking, featuring crater lakes and rolling hills. After approximately three hours, return to the lodge for breakfast. Post-lunch, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. This channel is a magnet for wildlife, drawing hippos, buffaloes, elephants, monitor lizards, numerous water birds, and offering stunning views. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 7Early Morning Game Drive

Afternoon Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel   

Begin your day with an early cup of tea or coffee at 6:00 am before embarking on a morning game drive. You can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas, kobs, and topis, set against a backdrop of stunning crater lakes and rolling grassy hills.

After approximately three hours, return to the lodge for breakfast. Post-lunch, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. This channel is a magnet for diverse wildlife such as hippos, buffaloes, elephants, monitor lizards, numerous water birds, and offers breathtaking scenery. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 8Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin your day with an early breakfast, then check out of your lodging and head to Ishasha, the southern sector of the park known for its tree-climbing lions. With some luck, you might spot them.

The region is also home to other large wildlife such as elephants, topis, and buffaloes. Enjoy lunch at Ishasha before continuing your journey south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 9Gorilla Tracking - Community Walk

Rise early for breakfast at 6:30 am, collect your packed lunch, and proceed to the park offices for a briefing from the rangers. You will be assigned a gorilla group to track. At 8:00 am, head to the trek’s starting point and venture into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas.

Your time with them is limited to one hour, after which you’ll return to meet your driver. Back at the lodge, enjoy a snack, refresh yourself, and later visit the local Batwa community to observe their traditional way of life. Conclude your day with dinner at the lodge, where you will also spend the night.

Day 10Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi - Canoe Ride

Travel to Lake Bunyonyi for a tranquil experience and arrive at your accommodation in time for lunch. Post-lunch, take some time to unwind before embarking on a canoe journey across one of the world’s deepest lakes. Opt to paddle the canoe on your own or have a guide steer you. Afterward, head back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight accommodation.

Day 11Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park - Evening Game Drive

 Enjoy breakfast, check out, and proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. Arrive at Lake Mburo in time for lunch, settle into your accommodation, and then enjoy your meal. Post-lunch, take some time to unwind before embarking on an evening game drive in the park, where you can witness a stunning sunset over the plains. Afterwards, return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 12Morning Nature walk - afternoon Boat Ride

Rise early for a morning nature walk in the park, where you may encounter nocturnal wildlife up close. An armed ranger will guide you. Following the walk, head back to the lodge to unwind, freshen up, and enjoy lunch.

Post-lunch, embark on a serene evening boat ride on Lake Mburo, offering opportunities to observe wildlife such as hippos and various birds. Conclude your day with dinner at the lodge, where you will also spend the night.

Day 13Back to Entebbe

Begin your day with breakfast, proceed to check out from the lodge, and then travel back to Entebbe. We will ensure you are dropped off at the destination of your choice. Enjoy lunch on the journey. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to stop at the Equator point for photographs.
